Level 3 Award in Paediatric Emergency First Aid (RQF)
This regulated first aid qualification is specific to infants aged under 1, and children aged from 1 year old to the onset of puberty. It fulfills the requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as issued by the department for Education and Skills Foundation Stage relating to Early Years childcare.
This qualification consists of two units and is provided over a period of two days with a minimum contact time of six hours per unit. |

It is recommended as training for first aiders in the workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator. Learners gaining this qualification will know that Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation form an essential part of the chain of survival. The topics covered are regarded by Skills for Health as being important to maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation. It meets the HSE and the Resuscitation Council training recommendations for use of AEDs in the workplace. |

It is a knowledge based qualification and provides the underpinning knowledge to develop an understanding of the role and responsibilities of an internal quality assurer. Fire Safety Awareness (3 hours)
This fire safety awareness course is delivered over 3 hours and gives learners an insight into how to stay safe at work and how to keep others safe. It deals with the law behind fire safety at work as well as how to spot hazards; dealing with potential risks; how to safely evacuate; fire procedures; different fire fighting equipment; principles of combustion as well as a detailed look at existing dangers within their place of work. |

Contravening this legislation can result in prosecution, with the possibility of an unlimited fine or even imprisonment. This course is designed to give all learners a better knowledge and underpinning knowledge of general health & safety. Food Hygiene Awareness (3 hours)
The law requires that all food handlers need to be trained according to their food handling work activities. This course is designed for people who handle food and not necessarily prepare food. The course is ideal for any general staff member to participate in to ensure they have the correct information and systems to reduce the potential of infecting anyone through the vehicle of food handling. |

Dementia Awareness (3 hours)
This course is ideal for all workplaces which deal with dementia sufferers as their staff can be given information and guidance on what dementia is (eg, Alzheimer's or Lewy Bodies), what the elevated risks may be, how to treat and understand the problems occurring from the umbrella condition and what a person centred approach is. Consideration is also given to the practicalities of such a condition regarding footwear, medication and incontinence. |

Moving People Safely (6 hours theory & practical)
Moving People Safely is intended as a further development qualification for those working in areas where the assistance and movement of people is a prerequisite part of their role. This qualification is underpinned by the safe principles of moving and handling but recognises the special skills required when assisting and moving people. The qualification is suitable for new starters in organisations where the movement and assistance of people is a key role as well as being suitable for refresher training. This course can be run as one all day session or split over any 2 days. The practical element uses the employer's own equipment to allow for a more understood way of learning. |

Manual Handling (Load Moving 3 hours)
The manual handling (load moving) course is intended as an introduction to moving and handling activities for those starting work, returning to work or who need specific training in manual handling, as well as being a suitable qualification for refresher training. Learners gaining this qualification will understand that moving and handling must be carried out correctly and will recognise its importance in ensuring a safer working environment. |

Risk Assessments (3 hours/6 hours)
This course is focussed towards management and/or supervisors, however, everyone can take part in the course especially if they have a stake hold in the preparation and management of risk assessments. The course is completely customised with the area of assessments needed being the main learning outcome. |

First Aid Awareness (3 hours)
First Aid is important and relevant to all companies - and this 3 hour course is designed to be a brief look into many first aid situations. Heart Attack, Stroke, Burns and Choking are all dealt with via presentation & discussion. Plus, practical recovery positions and ECC (external chest compressions) are assessed to ensue that learning has taken place. A resuscitation manikin is used for (ECC) and learners are used to place each other in the recovery positions (comfortable clothes should be worn). |

Infection Control (3 hours)
This course is designed to allow the correct procedures regarding training within the standards of the health & social care sector. The course looks at an introduction to infection control; micro-organisms and pathogens and how they spread; personal and general hygiene as well as the law and guidelines regarding a safe working environment for all.

Fire Marshal/Warden (3-6 hours)
This course is designed for people who have been given the extra responsibility of becoming a fire marshal/warden. It covers the fire safety course and elevated learning for the prevention of fire and safe evacuation of people from an area or site. The role of the fire marshal includes: Liaising with the fire service, fire safety law, safety precautions, actions on discovering a fire, chemistry of fire, common causes of fire, fire drills and evacuation and how to use fire extinguishers.
This course has a practical fire extinguisher element included that instructs on how to properly use a fire extinguisher. Extinguishers used are water, AFFF (foam), CO2 (carbon dioxide) and if required, wet chemical.

Expectations from employers rarely change, but the interview process is a liquid process and our interview skills course uses video, activities, discussion and real life examples to help achieve the delicate balance that can be the difference between success and failure. |

CV Writing (3 hours)
This course is one our most popular within the employability skills set. It covers everything a learner needs to know about how to write a CV and how to present it. From the top-flight role down, this course is designed to be an absolute must for anyone who requires a helping hand. We look at the content, grammar, punctuation and even the paper its written on; and in this electronic age, we also take a in-depth look at what to do and what not to do when it comes to attaching a CV to an e-mail. Questions frequently asked are: How far should my work history stretch back? How many pages should I include? Is coloured paper a good idea to get you noticed? Should I include referees and if so, how many? Is a quick, informal e-mail acceptable to send along with my CV? This course can be utilised as a CV writing workshop in addition to the theory. CVs are not written by the tutor but this service can be allowed for if required.

Door Supervision (accredited 38 Hours)
This qualification has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA). It is based on the relevant SIA Specifications for Learning and Qualifications and provides the learner with the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA licence and work as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry. It is advised that learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent and a good level of spoken and written English.
